ARTIST STATEMENT: All things living in this world serve a purpose. Animals compete with one another in a fight for survival and the victors go on to extend their families, while the losers become food for another. Even death counts as an organism serving their purpose. For an animal, life is simply about consuming enough to survive. However, for an animal as complex as a human, food and consumption may not be satisfying enough. Humans are always striving to do more with their lives, to find what their calling in life is. My own purpose, I hope to understand one day through my art. I like to play around with fantasy elements to mask these questions that spawn from self-doubt and existentialism.
