DESIGNER STATEMENT: My name is Malhar Siddiki and my major is Art & Visual Technology with a concentration in Graphic Design and a minor in Web Design. I’ve been drawing since I could first hold a pencil and have always been into visual arts. I was inspired to become a web and graphic designer since the early 2000s era of my childhood by designing and coding my own MySpace layouts and Neopets webpages. I carried this inspiration with me for years as an adult and decided to make it my career path. 

One thing I believe is that if you want to succeed as a designer, you should have many different interests. These interests and passions are the key to finding inspiration to create original design works. I’m a girl who has always had many different interests. One of my interests is science and I love to express my love for science by illustrating concepts that fascinate me and using bits of them in my work as inspiration. I’m also into vintage and retro things, and often find the most unexpected inspiration from the past and blend it with modern styles to create an original piece of work.
