ARTIST STATEMENT: Kat Ramos is a digital and new media artist who focuses on a range of concepts which include world building, character development, gender, socioeconomics, and government versus society dynamics. An avid lover of movies, videogames, and other forms of entertainment media, their work explores both escapism in entertainment as well as the use of popular entertainment media tropes and images to explore various topics.

PUNKS is a developing RPG game concept. It tackles issues of capitalism, surveillance, gender & sexuality, and dynamics between the oppressed and the oppressor. Each character explores an issue unique to their story while navigating the oppressive political and socioeconomic landscape of The Citadel, the city in which PUNKS takes place, as they work together to deconstruct the elitist system and create a better home for the people in their community.
