ARTIST STATEMENT: “Once upon a time…” there was a young girl whose grandmother would read her stories of magical worlds every night. This girl grew up to be a dreamer, wanting to create these stories that transport you to another world. I grew up being told myths, legends, fairytales, and history that inspire my art and career. I want to create art that tells a story, the concept art that lays the foundation of animations. Eros and Psyche, my favorite myth, is my muse for this project. I am developing the groundwork concept art and illustrations that will set the course for the epic love story in the future. Dedicated to Nana, the greatest storyteller of all time.
