DESIGNER STATEMENT: This project was born of blood, sweat, and tears, but mostly blood. As an artist, I have always wanted to portray the occult, whether that be in fantasy or some diminished dream form of reality, and I felt like this book was my opportunity. Its biggest influences are the concepts of Chaos Magick (the idea that belief is a tool and manipulating one’s own belief to achieve tangible results) and Non-Paradigmal Magick (the idea of a magical system without any links to other spiritual movements, magic systems, or religions). This is a personal exploration of myself in the language of the occult.
