DESIGNER STATEMENT: Hello! My name is Beverly Vargas and I am a passionate designer that looks to create an authentic story while being able to critically think about our surroundings. Design is something I stumbled upon after completely my associates in Liberal Arts. It wasn't until I was at Mason I discovered graphics design through an elective and I knew that it was going to be something I would continue to pursue. Graphic design allows me to combine my long love for photography while discovering a new love for type. Overall, the process of this book pushed me out of my comfort zone and allowed me to connect with other artists while strengthening my photography and editorial skills.
