DESIGNER STATEMENT: Hi, there! My name is Ashley Kwon and I am a strategic visual designer with a penchant for typography, hand-lettering, photography, and puns. With over seven, dynamic years of experience in the discipline, I am continuously embracing new challenges daily—exploring uncharted paths to propose and define problems—and in turn, delivering innovative solutions and qualitative experiences to clients logically, creatively, and efficaciously through visual communication. My strengths and specialties lie in corporate branding, advertising design, editorial design, digital marketing, and the creative process.
Inspired by my upbringing filled with a profound appreciation for plants and flowers, FLŌRA represents my educational journey and growth as an undergraduate student at George Mason University, in which it guides viewers through a thoughtfully-crafted brand identity system consisting of clean, modern, and conceptually cohesive design elements while unitedly expressing the hopeful message of growing forward.
