DESIGNER STATEMENT: Messing with building blocks and found objects is something that has carried on with me for as long as I can remember. The feeling of excitement I would get when one of my creations stands up on its own for the first time is unmatched to any other feeling at the moment. The only other time I am just as happy though, is when I am designing on a computer.

Design for me has always felt like “building” something. Instead of a tool belt, I have a toolbar to work with. Fonts are like my drill bits, and instead of a hammer and nail, I have anchor points and the selection tool. With these tools at my disposal, I build my framework and begin to work out possible solutions and compositions.

My goal for this project is to spark the joy of creativity for my reader. My next project may look completely different from the one I present to you today, but my approach to my practice will always be the same.
