ART + DESIGN SENIOR EXHIBITION

ARTIST STATEMENT: Most of my work usually involves animals, mainly my dogs. Growing up I always wanted to be a veterinarian but due to the fact that I hated science, that dream didn’t happen. I have found that through my animations, I could also find ways to help animals. With this animation, I wanted to show the reality of many dogs that go into the shelter, and the fate that they could have if not adopted. There are still many kill shelters that are unable to take care of the many animals that come into their building. I also wanted to show that many people still have prejudice against certain breeds because of the misinformation that is spread around. I wanted to know that anyone could save a life if they just visited their local shelter and helped a life in need. Adopt don’t shop.
